These offline deliveries are available as three distinct products:
AI Offline Vector
Description | Contains features, which are polygons or shapes that represent objects in the world. Each of these features also has a set of attributes such as, confidence and area calculations that describe the properties of the feature. |
---|---|
Format | The vector maps are available in geospatial formats including GeoPackage (.gpkg) and Geodatabase (.gdb). |
Usage |
|
Ideal for | Organisations that want the most powerful, flexible data, that is closest to what many would consider a "map". |
AI Offline Raster
Description | Contains more information than vector where each individual pixel rather than a whole feature and has a confidence value. However, it does not include our enhanced vector processing and metadata such as 3D derived attributes. AI Offline Raster is better suited to people that want custom control of the vectorisation process . Unless you really know you need raster, you are almost certainly better off with our vector products. There are two main reasons a raster export may be useful:
All AI Layers listed in the AI Layer Glossary are available for AI Layer Raster offline delivery. |

Format | |
Usage | Geospatial raster data can be more complex to work with than vector products, or spreadsheet data. If you're not sure whether a raster AI Layer delivery is right for you, consider whether:
|
Ideal for | Typical raster customers include local government departments. |
See how can order AI Offline Raster and convert it to vector.
AI Offline Parcel
Description | A CSV rollup of attributes by property. Many companies would refer to this as "property attributes". |
---|---|
Format | It is a highly simplified form of content compared to our raster and vector map products, as it will condense things like a complex multi-building commercial property into a single number for building area. |
Usage | |
Ideal for | Organisations that require a simple spreadsheet of data that is mapped directly to addresses. |
