• Symbols that cover or partially cover manholes
• Block symbol pavement markings in any colour eg. white, yellow, green, red
• Tactile paving for communicating to the visually impaired
• Block symbol markings in car parks and airport taxiways
• Speed limit and route markings on roadways
• Block symbol markings on footpaths, road curbs, or raised parts of the road such as refuge islands.

• Anything that may look like a block symbol pavement marking, but is in a sports field or a playground
• Any temporary pavement marking painted with spray paint

The purpose of this class is NOT to identify the use of the lines, in the case of pedestrian crossings. There is an existing Pedestrian Crossing class for that purpose.
